Description
STRUCTURAL REPAIRS TO EXTERNAL STAIRCASE'S AND WALKWAYS TO 7 NO. SHELTERED SCHEMES, 3 NO. EXTERNAL STAIRS TO RAILWAY VILLAGE PROPERTIES & 3 NO. COMMERCIAL PROPERTIES.
Swindon Borough Council invites expressions of interest from suitably qualified and experienced service providers for the provision of structural repairs to external staircase's and walkways to 7 no. sheltered schemes, 3 no. external stairs to railway village properties & 3 no. commercial properties.
Project Description
1.1 Structural repairs to external staircases and walkways. The works include but are not limited to:
• Preparation of steel elements for painting & applying top coat
• Replacement of particular steel elements (where necessary) identified within structural reports
• Painting stair nosing's
• Application of non-slip coatings
• Application of protective sheeting's for prevention of climbing
• Replacing uprights
• Replacement of sections of timber balustrade, where identified.
• Replace cracked slabs
• Vegetation Removal
The initial contract term will be for 12 months from 1st June 2025. With no optional extension periods.
Estimated contract spend is between £340,000 and £350,000 across the contract term.

Tender clarifications to be submitted in writing via Messaging in ProContract tender portal by 27th February 2025, 15:00 hrs UK Local time. The Council's responses to these clarification questions will be issued periodically on the ProContract tender portal.
