Detailed description
This request for tenders is provided by the Irish Traditional Music Archive (ITMA). The project focuses on ITMA’s ‘Digitisation Project’ (DP). The DP is just one part of a larger plan focused on developing ITMA’s digitisation and archiving capabilities. The broad goals of the larger project include:
(a) Deepening North/South cooperation through the preservation of, and engagement with, our shared cultural inheritance and traditions
(b) Sharing international best archival practice with diverse local community archives
(c) Sharing ITMA’s digitisation capabilities with local amateur archivists from diverse communities
(d) Educating, connecting, and empowering artists, archivists from diverse communities
Design and installation of a state-of-the-art digitization studio at ITMA’s premises at 73 Merrion Square. The development of the digitization studio supports the goals of the larger DP
