UNICEF The Gambia Invites Qualified Suppliers and Vendors to submit Expression of Interest to Ernst & Young on behalf of the UNICEF office in West and Central Africa.
As part of its commitment to open and fair competition, the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) in The Gambia is launching a call for expressions of interest.
This initiative aims to identify and map qualified suppliers and service providers capable of supplying goods and services that meet local market needs while optimizing procurement costs.
You are invited to express your interest if:
✅ Your company is officially recognized by local authorities.
✅ You are legally established and can provide financial statements covering at least three fiscal years.
✅ You have previously collaborated with UNICEF or wish to do so.
Each application will be evaluated, and inclusion in the database will depend on the results of the assessment following this call for expression of interest. This process will be managed by Ernst & Young on behalf of the UNICEF office in West and Central Africa.
The tender contains sustainability considerations regarding local MSMEs, local communities or disadvantaged groups.
Examples:
Reserved labour opportunities for local communities, use of local materials, reserved procurements for local companies
The tender contains sustainability considerations promoting sustainability through the entire supply chain.
Examples:
Sustainability requirements for tier 2 suppliers, identification and approval of subcontractors.
The tender contains sustainability considerations promoting health and general well-being of consumers/ recipients of the good or service.
Examples:
Hazardous chemicals handling, labelling of chemicals.
The tender incorporates contract conditions/ KPIs that stipulate the verification of suppliers' environmental and social claims through “spot checks” and audit provisions.
The tender considers the whole life cycle cost of the service or product.
