BCC Highways and Associated Works Framework & Defects and Emergency Works Term Maintenance Contract Market Engagement Event
Bristol City Council is engaging the market ahead of issuing the following procurement opportunities: -
- Highways and Associated Works Framework
- Defects and Emergency Works Term Maintenance Contract.
The framework is intended to be let for a period of 4 years split into the following lots:
- Lot 1: Machine Laid Surfacing
- Lot 2: Surface Dressing and Micro Asphalts
- Lot 3: Slurry Seal and Preventative Treatments
- Lot 4: Road Markings and High Friction and Coloured Surfacing
- Lot 5: Highways and Associated Works up to £500K
- Lot 6: Highways and Associated Works over £500K
- Lot 7: Structural & Steel Maintenance, Repairs and Reconstruction Works to Bridges & Highway Retaining Walls Structures up to £500K
- Lot 8: Structural & Steel Maintenance, Repairs and Reconstruction Works to Bridges & Highway Retaining Walls Structures over £500K
- Lot 9: Geotechnical and Soil Investigation Works on or adjacent to the Highway
- Lot 10: Traffic Management
The Term Maintenance contract will support BCC's maintenance team in delivering its statutory duties, including repairing roads, fixing potholes and repairing footways. The contract is intended to be let for an initial 8 year period with two optional 2 year extensions (max duration 12 years).
We wish to invite contractors to a virtual supplier's information event on Wednesday 16th October from 10:00 to 11:30am. We recommend this event is attended by any prospective bidder for the framework and/or term contract.
The purpose of the event is to engage with the market in advance of issuing a formal ITT's by providing early information and background to our requirements and gain an understanding of the market capacity / capability to deliver the scope. We intend to discuss the scopes of each procurement as well as providing an overview of the procurement and contracting approaches.
