The Submarine Switchgear contract requirement encompasses all Switchboard, Load Centre and Supply cubicle (i.e. Battery and Propulsion) equipment fitted to A, T, V and Dreadnought Class boats.
Submarine Switchgear is an extensive requirement, but generally refers to the vessels source of supply (i.e. the Generators) and the vessels users or consumers (i.e. via distribution cabinets and fuse/switch panels). Specific areas covered are:
a. Switchboards and Distribution Panels containing either Air Circuit Breakers (ACB's) or smaller Moulded Case Circuit Breakers (MCCB's)
b. Breaker Protection
c. Control and associated Test Equipment
d. Earth Detection/Monitoring Equipment including Gresham electronic protection cards.
Associated items (i.e. fuses, Miniature Circuit Breakers, relays, contactors, printed circuit boards (PCB's) and related components).
Each Master Equipment is used throughout the Royal Navy's submarine Fleet.
The SDA has a requirement to source supply of consumables and Capital Spares to support the equipment described above, including survey and repair of supporting equipment, plus technical support relating to all in scope equipment. The planned contract start date is mid-2025.
Follow the instructions given in the description or the more information section.
