This project seeks expert technical support to develop Part 2 of our Foundational Specification for Case Management Systems (CMS) in adult social care (ASC). Part 1 'Continuous Improvement' was completed in March 2024 and received positive feedback from both local authorities and suppliers. Part 2, 'Procurement', aims to tackle one of the key issues in the CMS market - lack of clarity on CMS requirements - and will finalise the overall guidance. This complete document will provide local authorities with clear and effective guidance on 'what good looks like' for CMSs, enabling them to procure new systems quickly, effectively and with confidence, promoting better value for money, greater standardisation, and enhanced functionality for these critical systems.
