Herefordshire Council require a subcontractor who can provide a proposed permanent barrier solution with a rock trap running along the length of the rock face, at Wilton Rock Face, Wilton Road, Ross on Wye.
Background
Rockfall occurred on Wilton Road in 2019. The road was closed and temporary barriers installed to allow the road to be reopened. There have been a few rock falls since the catchment barriers were installed.
The rock face is within an AONB and is a feature of Ross on Wye.
There are a number of properties above the rockface, including a churchyard.
Proposed solution: A permanent barrier solution with a rock trap running along the length of the rock face.
