    Senior Trading Standards Officer
    Rate of Pay: £20.85 per hour (PAYE), or let me know what rate the candidate is looking for up on submission
    Hours: 37
    Location: Sandwell Council House, Freeth Street, Oldbury/Hybrid Working
    Start Date: ASAP

    Brief description:

    Sandwell MBC Trading Standards team is looking for two fully qualified, enthusiastic and reliable Trading Standards Officers with up to date Food Standards competency and good Product Safety knowledge.

    We are looking for someone with experience of conducting Food Standards inspections and dealing with Product Safety complaints and enquiries.
    You should be competent in Food Standards as detailed by the FSA Food Law Code of Practice and have the ability to carry out inspections in accordance with the relevant legislation and national codes of practice. A relevant Product Safety qualifications is also highly desirable.

    You must be competent with Microsoft Office and use of the internet and be an excellent communicator at all levels. Knowledge of the CIVICA Trading Standards database is desirable.

    No DBS is required for this role.
