Boeing Defence UK (BDUK) is inviting UK-based Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) to express their interest in participating in free training events aimed at improving the UK Defence industry. The training events will be conducted virtually and in person, and are in support of the UK Ministry of Defence (MOD). Both existing BDUK suppliers and potential new suppliers are welcome to apply.
The training program will cover various topics relevant to the needs of the attendees. The selection of suppliers for the training will be based on the completion of the ADS Supply Chain Solution Basic Assessment, which helps identify the specific needs of each supplier.
The in-person Cluster Training events will take place at the Boeing Bristol office. The virtual Cluster Training events will be conducted over WebEx, with the opportunity for a follow-up 1-1 session with the BDUK Supply Chain Social Governance team. The exact address will be provided in the formal invitations sent to the attendees.
Attendees will have the opportunity to learn more about doing business with Boeing and be provided with a point of contact to support introductions to Boeing.
Attendees can learn more about the benefits of ADS Supply Chain Solutions SC21 and how they can get involved.
Attendees will have the opportunity to arrange follow up sessions with the Boeing procurement teams to discuss and showcase their business capabilities.
Attendees will be invited to join the Boeing Capability Assessment database and be supported with advice on next steps.
BDUK is particularly interested in hearing from tier 1 and tier 2 UK-based SMEs with capabilities in NADCAP approved NTD Providers, Sheet Metal Fabrication Suppliers, Ground Support Equipment and Tooling Providers, Maintenance Repair and Overhaul, and AS6081 approved suppliers.
To be considered for the training events, interested parties must complete the a short-form. A review of all submissions will take place, and selected applicants will receive an invitation to complete an ADS SCS SC21 Basic Assessment online. A formal invitation will be issued to those who are down-selected and matched to their assessment results. If not selected to attend, applicants will receive a follow-on email inviting them to register their company's capabilities for potential future opportunities.
Please send your Expressions of Interest to BDUKsupplychain@boeing.com by 17:00 (BST) on 29th April 2024, For the Attention of: Cluster Training Programme. Application forms will be issued by the 1st May. Applications should be sent to BDUKsupplychain@boeing.com by 17:00 (BST) on 7th May 2024. All applications will aim to be responded to by 28th May. If you are a member of JOSCAR, please include your membership number in your response.
Attendance to the training events will be free of charge, but any travel costs will not be provided
