Bracknell Forest Council is offering a contract for the provision of a Carers' Support Service for a two year period, with optional additions of two further one-year periods.
The service will provide information, advice, guidance and outreach support for eligible carers whereby the carer or cared-for is resident in Bracknell Forest. The service will work collaboratively with relevant agencies on development of services for carers. It will be the lead agency on carers, delivering training and championing carers issues, and will work proactively with other Voluntary and Community Sector partners to ensure a cohesive response to the needs of carers.
The service will support the central priorities of the All-Age Integrated Carers Strategy 2024-2029 and contribute toward the associated outcomes detailed in the Carers Strategy Action Plan.
The eligibility criteria are as follows:
• Adult carers (18+) supporting another adult.
• Young carers approaching adulthood (16-17 years old) and supporting an adult or young person aged 16+.
• Parent carers caring for a young person (aged 16+) approaching adulthood.
• Carer or cared-for is a resident in Bracknell Forest
The service cannot support with carers who are employed to provide care services.
The price for this service is set within a range of £74,000 - £77,000 per annum. There will be an additional £3,000 available to the provider to utilise for Carers Week, following submission of an approved project plan.
